SIDA CSO Capacity Strengthening Programme

The Civil Society Network on Climate Change (CISONECC) in partnership with Ntchisi Organization for Youth Development (NOYD), Women Legal Resources Centre (WOLREC), National Youth Network on Climate Change (NYNCC) and NGO Coalition on Child Rights (CCR) are implementing a SIDA CSO Capacity Strengthening Programme with financial support from Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) through Save the Children International. The programme aims to have a strong civil society in Malawi that demands and supports the fulfilment of girls' and boys' rights, holding states to account, mobilizing and empowering children and their communities.

Under the programme, CISONECC underwent an in-depth Organizational Capacity Assessment which led to the development of an Organizational Capacity Development Plan. The plan, among others outlines a course of actions to ensure CISONECC’s capacity strengthening in identified areas of capacity gaps. With CISONECC constantly growing, it is only fundamental to orient members of the network and ‘would be members’ in institutional operations as well as, their roles in network activities for achievement of its vision.
