The InsuResilience MAPs II
The Civil Society Network on Climate Change (CISONECC) with funding from the Government of Germany through CARE Germany and CARE Malawi implemented a project titled ‘Multi-stakeholder Partnership on Climate and Disaster Risk Financing and Preparedness in the context of the InsuResilience Global Partnership’ (InsuResilience MAPs Project). The overall objective of the project was to reduce the negative impact of disasters and climate change on the development opportunities and living conditions of vulnerable Malawians through strengthening Multi-Actor Partnerships (MAP) and collaborations on the development and implementation of gender-equitable and poverty-oriented approached to CDRFI. Under the project, a national MAP was established comprising of stakeholders from the government, civil society, academia, private sector and the media.
Through the established MAP, stakeholders from the government, civil society, private sector, academia and the media strengthened their collaboration for CDRFI through regular dialogues on the subject matter.
